Hello! My name is Stephanie Steele, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I am passionate about my work with individuals and couples. I'm inspired by my clients every day.
My therapeutic approach is strength-based and solution-focused in order to identify and achieve therapeutic goals and long-lasting change. I work with a variety of presenting issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, coping skills, self-esteem, relationship issues, marital therapy, and sex therapy.
I believe that people are resilient, but there are times we need to reach out to others to get through our current struggles. I'm here to provide support, encouragement, education and challenge. My goal is that you leave each session feeling more optimistic about your future and with better coping mechanisms to deal with your current struggle in a healthy way.
I work collaboratively with my clients. I encourage you to give it a try today. Your better life is waiting!
While I work with individual clients on depression, anxiety, worry and stress, I also enjoy working with couples.
Couples tend to come into therapy when a conversation about a separation or divorce has occurred. If you are thinking of counseling and have not had this question, you are ahead of the game! Counseling can be beneficial for all stages in one's relationship to pre-engagement, pre-marital, marital, and even post-marital. With couples, I use the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, provide useful tools, and enrich relationship satisfaction. I also am certified to conduct PREPARE/ENRICH pre-marital counseling. My role in the therapeutic process is to teach you how to handle conflict effectively and encourage growth in the relationship to its fullest potential.
