I Can Help.
After teaching creative writing for 20 years, I entered the counseling field because I wanted to explore with more depth the narratives that shape us. I believe the ways we tell our stories and the language we use to talk about our lives shapes our relationship to them. Through our work together, we’ll consider what brought you here and develop strategies to help you get where you want to be.
What can you expect?
One of my favorite quotes about therapy is from Michael J. Mahoney, who writes, “A large part of what therapists and clients do together is weave new possibilities for experiencing.” You can expect a collaborative process that is both creative and centers curiosity. I will be by your side as you examine your story and what you want your life to look like moving forward. I use creative interventions and a strengths-based approach to facilitate a space for you to be in conversation with yourself about what you want to be more present in your life.
