Does this sound familiar?

  • Are you feeling stuck in patterns of shame, conflict, or mistreatment with yourself or others?
  • Are you or your family struggling to heal emotional or spiritual wounds rooted in trauma, loss, injustice, or life transition?
  • Are you or your family having trouble developing and maintaining emotionally healthy, authentic relationships?

I can help.

  • I have years of experience partnering with individuals, couples, and families to respond to challenges related to healthy expression of emotion; development of relational intimacy, security, and healthy boundaries; navigating conflict; healing trauma and grief; integrating spirituality; and moving through impactful transitions.
  • I cultivate a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, authentic, and safe. I strive to provide a warm, nonjudgmental presence, ready to affirm and celebrate all that is going well for you and to walk alongside you as we explore and heal wounds and patterns that may have contributed to your suffering.
  • I grew up in Eugene and am part of a beautiful, wounded family—continually learning together to navigate these same ordinary, human challenges with more and more grace and compassion for ourselves and others.

What can you expect?

  • You can expect to feel more grounded, compassionate, and open-hearted as you move through conflicts and encounter wounds in relationships with yourself and others.
  • You can expect to feel more present, integrated, accepting, and free to be authentically you.
  • You can expect to feel less stuck and more empowered to act in ways that are healthy and sustainable for yourself and those around you, and congruent with your deepest emotional, spiritual, and relational values.

I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon and completed a one-year, pre-doctoral internship at the counseling center at Oregon State University. I tend to approach therapy with an emotion-focused, relational stance: I pay a lot of attention to what is happening at an emotional and relational level, moment-by-moment, within and between us. This includes attending to how our nervous systems and bodies are responding to one another; and to power dynamics that may be rooted in our intersecting sociocultural identities, which may influence how safe or free you feel to express yourself authentically during a session. I hope that clients feel cared for by my willingness to invite and accompany them into emotional vulnerability and sometimes discomfort. I believe that therapy can be most effective when clients feel good about the quality of our relationship and feel that we’re aligned about what they hope to see change and how we can get there, together. I also enjoy creatively expanding the expectations for what therapy looks like. Feel free to ask about ways to make the space your own, such as by incorporating nature, movement, art or other expression into our work.
