It’s time to start saying no to other people and starting yes to yourself! Let’s get started.
You Have a Choice
Remember, just because someone asks you to do something doesn’t mean you have to say yes.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with wanting to help your friends and family. But sometimes you have to put yourself first.
Taking on too many projects can negatively impact your sleep, motivation and overall mood.
Even though saying no can be a scary little at first, the more practice the easier it’ll become. We all have to start somewhere. You might as well start today.
Being available 24 hours a day seven days a week is not realistic for anyone.
Now that we are working at home, it’s so easy to take calls or respond to emails outside business hours.
Home time should be home time. And work time should be work time.
Whether you’re self-employed or an employee, don’t be afraid to set specific business hours and avoid answering emails/phone calls late at night.
You Can’t Be Everything To Everyone
No matter how skilled you are on any given topic, it is absolutely impossible to make everyone happy.
There will always be people out there who may disagree with you, and that is completely okay.
Nothing we say or do can change how other people think. The only thoughts and feelings we can control are our own.
“You can’t always please everybody, but you can do what makes you happy and just hope that those around you will be happy for you.” – Unknown
